Baseball Recap: East Pennsboro Makes It Seven in a Row on the Road

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but East Pennsboro ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past the Trinity Shamrocks 5-3. The Panthers' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Ryan Seibert and Brock Shaffer made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Seibert pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Meanwhile, Shaffer tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At bat, Seibert scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2, while Shaffer went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Eric Foster Jr. and Lucas Martz did most of the damage at the plate: Foster Jr. went 1-for-4 with one home run, while Martz scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases Martz has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jovi DeJesus, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Trinity, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
