Basketball Recap: Three Straight Home Victories for Layton Christian Academy

Layton Christian Academy extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Tyrin Jones. The Layton Christian Academy Eagles breezed by the Uintah Utes to the tune of 74-42 on Friday thanks in part to Jones, who went 6 of 12 en route to 17 points along with five boards and three steals. He is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Anor Wogar, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 14 points. Those 14 points gave him a new career-high.

When it comes to explaining why Uintah lost, don't look at Jaxon Jenson. Despite the final result, he posted 17 points.

Layton Christian Academy's record is now 10-8. As for Uintah, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.

Layton Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 86-54 win against Mountain View on the 14th. Uintah has also already played their next game, a 74-64 defeat against Provo on the 14th.
