They beat the Central Trail Blazers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 73-67. Given the Cubs' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while the Trail Blazers are ranked 127th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

University of Detroit Jesuit's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-0. As for Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-10.
