Volleyball Recap: Parker Maxey's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Springfield Southeast over Calvary + How To Watch

Springfield Southeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Calvary Saints. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Springfield Southeast was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-22.

Springfield Southeast lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Parker Maxey, who had five digs and two aces. Josey Grant was another key player, getting 12 digs and two aces.

Springfield Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Calvary, their victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springfield Southeast will welcome Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvary, they will host South County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
