Basketball Recap: Buckhorn Takes a Loss

Buckhorn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 72-39 loss at the hands of the Oneida Baptist Institute Mountaineers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-44 back in December of 2024.

Buckhorn's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Oneida Baptist Institute, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buckhorn has already played their next contest (against Perry County Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Oneida Baptist Institute will host Leslie County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Leslie County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.5 points per game this season.
