Basketball Game Preview: Wall Eagles vs. Philip Scotties

The Wall Eagles will head out to face off against the Philip Scotties at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Wall's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 contests.

Last Saturday, Wall didn't have too much trouble with Timber Lake as they won 69-52.

Meanwhile, Philip was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 85-43 to McCook Central/Montrose, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Wall has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points over those games. As for Philip, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.

Wall came up short against Philip in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 64-53. Can Wall avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
