Volleyball Recap: Altoona Takes a Loss

Altoona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bald Eagle Area Eagles. If the Mountain Lions were looking for revenge after losing 1-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in October of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Altoona's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12-1. As for Bald Eagle Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 19-4-2 record this season.

Altoona will look to defend their home court on Monday against Central Dauphin at 6:30 p.m. As for Bald Eagle Area, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 1-0 loss against Shaler Area on the 4th.
