Football Recap: Pomeroy Piles Up the Points Against Tulalip Heritage + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Pomeroy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They breezed past the Tulalip Heritage Hawks to the tune of 86-22 on Saturday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 68-8.

Kyzer Herres produced another solid performance rushing for 247 yards and six scores while picking up 13.0 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Huwe, who rushed for 113 yards and a pair of TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Pomeroy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 554 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

The win made it two in a row for Pomeroy and bumps their season record up to 10-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points over those games. As for Tulalip Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Coming up, Pomeroy will square off against Wahkiakum at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will need to watch out since the Mules have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Tulalip Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
