Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Avery Nelson and Kaycie Lopez Lead Steele to Victory

Steele posted their closest win since August 15th on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Franklin Cougars 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Steele was led to victory by Kaycie Lopez and Avery Nelson. Lopez had 13 assists and eight digs, while Nelson had 19 assists and seven digs. Those seven digs gave Nelson a new career-high. Cassandra Stoufflet also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Steele's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Franklin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

Steele has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Arlington on the 22nd. As for Franklin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Clear Creek on the 22nd.
