Volleyball Game Preview: Elk River Elks vs. Andover Huskies

After both having extra time off, the Elk River Elks and the Andover Huskies will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Andover took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Elk River, who comes in off a win.

Two weeks ago, Elk River got the win against Robbinsdale Armstrong by a conclusive 3-0.

Elk River never let Robbinsdale Armstrong on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-22, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Andover faced Maple Grove in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Huskies came up short against the Crimson, falling 3-0.

While Andover was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19, 25-23.

Elk River's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Andover, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-2.
