Soccer Game Preview: Beaver vs. Gunnison Valley

Beaver is 2-8 against Gunnison Valley since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Beavers will head out to challenge the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m.

Beaver fought the good fight in their overtime game against South Sevier on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 1-0. Beaver just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Gunnison Valley sidestepped San Juan for a 3-2 win. Gunnison Valley better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Chase Maples, as he scored every single goal for his team.

The victory made it two in a row for Gunnison Valley and bumps their season record up to 7-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored seven goals over those two matches. As for Beaver, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
