Football Recap: Chachi Saunders Leads Seminole Ridge's Defense on Saturday

On Saturday, the Seminole Ridge Hawks beat the Nova Titans 19-7. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Titans are ranked 81st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Seminole Ridge found their leader in sophomore Aubrey Fogel, who threw for 205 yards and three touchdowns.

Seminole Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Chachi Saunders led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by herself.

Seminole Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Nova, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.

Seminole Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 14-0 win against Bloomingdale on the 15th. As for Nova, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 46-0 victory against Northeast on the 17th.
