Football Recap: Sanderson Spartans vs. Corinth Holders Pirates
Sanderson had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by the Corinth Holders Pirates 35-3 on Friday. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.
Zeon Ware was nothing short of spectacular for Corinth Holders: he rushed for 119 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Jaylon Holder was in the mix too, providing Corinth Holders with two rushing touchdowns touchdowns.
Sanderson will face off against Riverside-Durham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Corinth Holders, they will square off against Broughton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
