Preview: Lone Peak Knights vs. Pleasant Grove Vikings
Lone Peak has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Pleasant Grove Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Lone Peak earned a 70-61 victory over Westlake.
Lone Peak got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Thomsen Kramer out in front who scored 22 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chamberlain Burgess, who scored 21 points along with five blocks and two steals.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Pleasant Grove, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 77-61 loss to Lehi on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (59), Pleasant Grove still had to take the loss.
Lone Peak now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Pleasant Grove, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-7.
Lone Peak was able to grind out a solid win over Pleasant Grove in their previous meeting on January 12th, winning 60-50. Will Lone Peak repeat their success, or does Pleasant Grove have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
