Basketball Recap: Hamtramck Takes a Loss

After flying high against Oakside Prep Academy on Thursday, Hamtramck came back down to earth. The Hamtramck Cosmos were dealt a 69-22 loss at the hands of the Star International Academy Falcons on Friday. The matchup marked the Cosmos' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Hamtramck's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Star International Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Hamtramck will take on Eastpointe in a holiday battle at at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. As for Star International Academy, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Detroit Cristo Rey at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
