Basketball Recap: Coosa Christian Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

If Donoho wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Coosa Christian, they should've done a better job of containing Kylen Johnson. The Coosa Christian Conquerors took down the Donoho Falcons 84-66 on Friday thanks in part to Johnson, who went 16 of 26 en route to 42 points and seven steals. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Grayson Malone, who posted 11 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

Coosa Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Donoho, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-7.

The future could be bright for both Coosa Christian and Donoho: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Coosa Christian will look to extend West End's five-game losing streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Donoho will try to hand Ohatchee their third-straight loss when the two meet at 8:30 p.m. on Monday.
