Basketball Recap: Luling Piles Up the Points Against Nixon-Smiley

Luling had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 31-point drubbing they dealt Nixon-Smiley on Friday. The Luling Eagles breezed by the Nixon-Smiley Mustangs to the tune of 70-39. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 55-45 back in January.

Luling got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ayden Flores out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. Jaime Gomez was another key player, going 5 of 11 on his way to 19 points and four steals.
