Volleyball Game Preview: Ludlow Lions vs. Putnam Vo-Tech Beavers

The Ludlow Lions will venture away from home to challenge the Putnam Vo-Tech Beavers at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Ludlow beat Belchertown 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Meanwhile, Putnam Vo-Tech got the win against Easthampton/Hampshire on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0.

One reason for the win was Putnam Vo-Tech's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19, 25-16.

Putnam Vo-Tech's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Ludlow, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything went Ludlow's way against Putnam Vo-Tech when the teams last played back in November of 2016, as Ludlow made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
