Basketball Recap: Sergeant Bluff-Luton Takes a Loss

Sergeant Bluff-Luton lost against Sioux City East back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sergeant Bluff-Luton Warriors took a blow against the Sioux City East Black Raiders, falling 78-38. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Black Raiders are ranked 96th).

Sergeant Bluff-Luton has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Sioux City East, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sergeant Bluff-Luton has already played their next match (against Sioux City North), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Sioux City East will face off against Lincoln at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Sioux City East has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 212 points over their last three games.
