Football Recap: Aberdeen Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Hoquiam last Friday, Aberdeen came back down to earth. The Bobcats took a blow against the WF West Bearcats on Friday, falling 56-21. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Bearcats recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Gabe Matthews and Mason Hill certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Matthews picked up 98 receiving yards and one score, while Hill threw for 224 yards and a pair of TDs.

Aberdeen suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 3-2. As for WF West, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Aberdeen will look to defend their home field on Friday against Centralia at 7:00 p.m. The Bobcats will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for WF West, they are taking a road trip to challenge Battle Ground at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' defense has only allowed 11 points per game this season, so the Bearcats' offense will have their work cut out for them.
