Baseball Recap: City of Life Christian Academy Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Orlando Christian Prep, City of Life Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Central Florida Christian Academy Eagles. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Isaiah Camacho spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 14 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jayden Gonzalez was excellent, going 2-for-5 with three RBI and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Dodge, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

City of Life Christian Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Central Florida Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. City of Life Christian Academy will head out to face off against Real Life Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Central Florida Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Halifax Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
