Basketball Recap: Mia Morrill's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bishop O'connell over North Catholic

On Saturday, the Bishop O'Connell Knights didn't have quite enough to beat the North Catholic Trojans and fell 54-52.

Bishop O'Connell lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Mia Morrill, who posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniya Brown, who put up 15 points.

Bishop O'Connell has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for North Catholic, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Bishop O'Connell will venture away from home to square off against The Covenant at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Catholic, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pine-Richland at 2:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
