Volleyball Recap: Gaffney Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Gaffney was the 3-1 winner over Wade Hampton when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Generals on Thursday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The 3-1 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by two points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 29-27, 22-25, 26-24.

Gabrielle Leigh paced Gaffney's offense, picking up 22 kills. Leigh got some help from Aubrey McLemore and her 41 assists. Mayson Brizendine controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Gaffney's loss dropped their record down to 13-12-2. As for Wade Hampton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season.

Gaffney does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wade Hampton, they will take on Dutch Fork at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
