Softball Recap: North Polk's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

It was a good run, but North Polk unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the A-D-M Tigers by a score of 5-4. If the Comets were looking for revenge after losing 7-2 to the Tigers when the teams met back in July of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

North Polk's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 11-2. As for A-D-M, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-6.

North Polk wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-7 defeat against Clear Creek-Amana on the 13th. As for A-D-M, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-3 win against Pleasant Valley on the 13th.
