Volleyball Game Preview: Hendersonville Bearcats vs. North Henderson Knights

The Hendersonville Bearcats are headed away from home for the first time to take on the North Henderson Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Hendersonville was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over West Henderson.

Hendersonville took West Henderson into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-14, 13-25, 25-19, 15-11.

Meanwhile, North Henderson posted their closest victory since May 7, 2024 on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against West Henderson, sneaking past 3-2.

North Henderson was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (100-95), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-18, 25-21, 17-25, 15-11.

North Henderson now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Hendersonville, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Hendersonville might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from North Henderson in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Bearcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
