Recap: Oak Grove Grizzlies vs. Montgomery Central Timberwolves
In what's become a running theme this season, the Oak Grove Grizzlies gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Montgomery Central 70-48. Winning may never get old, but Oak Grove sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
It was another big night for Trista Charles, who scored 31 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Ray, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Oak Grove is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. As for Montgomery Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-2.
Oak Grove will head out on the road to square off against Asheboro at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Asheboro will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 424th, while Oak Grove is ranked 72nd). As for Montgomery Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Davidson is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
