Softball Recap: San Benito Falls Short of East Central in the Playoffs

San Benito and East Central squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but San Benito had to settle for second. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 16-0. The shutout was out of character for the Greyhounds seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

This is the second loss in a row for San Benito and nudges their season record down to 17-13-1. As for East Central, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: San Benito beat the Hornets by a score of 8-5 later that day.
