They fell just short of the Royals by a score of 6-5. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Royals: they've now lost six in a row.
Isabella Peed was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4.
Northeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Cambridge City Lincoln, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Cambridge City Lincoln has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .507. However, it's not like Northeastern struggles in that department as they've averaged .459. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
