The Lincoln Lions will take on the Hilliard Bradley Jaguars at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lincoln is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.5 runs per game this season.

Lincoln fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Westerville Central on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warhawks by a score of 6-5. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lincoln got a good showing from Mitchell Stroymeyer, who pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Aidan Piatt and Landon George did some serious damage despite the final result: Piatt scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while George scored a run while going 2-for-4. That stolen base marked the first that Piatt snagged this season.

Meanwhile, Hilliard Bradley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-3 to Olentangy Liberty.

Hilliard Bradley saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Barkhimer, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Hilliard Bradley, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Lincoln skirted past Hilliard Bradley 6-5 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
