Borden is 1-9 against Lanesville since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Braves will host the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Borden sitting on three straight victories and Lanesville on four.
Borden proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 12) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past North Harrison 4-3. Those four runs were actually the fewest the Braves have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Emma Hart spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alayna Martin, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. AJ Mallard was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Lanesville made easy work of Christian Academy on Monday and carried off a 13-7 win.
Makenna Mills made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, Lanesville got a massive performance out of Madelyn Magner, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Raelynn Lindsey, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
Borden pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lanesville, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.
Lanesville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Borden hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .427. It's a different story for Lanesville, though, as they've only averaged .246. Will they be able to contain Borden's hitters?
Borden couldn't quite finish off Lanesville in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 and fell 7-5. Will the Braves have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
