Pittsford is 8-2 against Rush-Henrietta since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Royal Comets at 6:30 p.m.

On Friday, Pittsford came up short against Fairport and fell 34-21.

Meanwhile, Rush-Henrietta strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on University Prep with a sharp 40-14 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-7.

Rush-Henrietta's win came from a few key players Pittsford will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brendan Mangone, who threw for 310 yards and four TDs while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (165.2). Imani Wagstaff helped Mangone out on the ground, rushing for 167 yards and one score while picking up 8.8 yards per carry, and also catching one TD.

Rush-Henrietta was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 256 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

One reason for the win was Rush-Henrietta's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Ryder Zuchengo was especially locked on to University Prep's QB and sacked him twice.

Rush-Henrietta's record now sits at 4-0. As for Pittsford, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Pittsford came up short against Rush-Henrietta in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 28-17. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
