Preview: Grace Christian Warriors vs. Rappahannock County

The Grace Christian Warriors will head out on the road to challenge Rappahannock County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grace Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Rappahannock County likes a good challenge.

Grace Christian put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Monday. They blew past United Christian Academy 68-21 at home. With Grace Christian ahead 36-11 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grace Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Patrick Wells, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wells has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Justin Hain, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Rappahannock County pushed their score all the way to 60 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 72-60 to Luray. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rappahannock County in their matchups with Luray: they've now lost four in a row.

Grace Christian pushed their record up to 12-7 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points per game. As for Rappahannock County, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

Grace Christian suffered a grim 69-44 defeat to Rappahannock County in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Grace Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
