Preview: Katy vs. North Shore
Both Katy (11-0) and North Shore (9-3) have made it this far into the playoffs, but they square off this Saturday at 2:00 PM to determine who is worthy to move on. Katy has flexed its offensive muscles in its last nine matchups, so North Shore has a real workout ahead of it.
You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was exactly Katy's strategy in dealing with Atascocita last week. Katy had a great defensive game, holding Atascocita to zero points to set up the 44 - 0 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half: the score was 30 - 0 going into the third quarter. Meanwhile, North Shore earned a pretty comfortable 44 - 29 victory over Lamar last week.
The last time they met, North Shore skirted past Katy 20 - 17. This time around, however, the match is expected to be a blowout: Katy is ranked 16th in the MaxPreps national rankings, North Shore 188th. This defeat knocked Katy out of the playoffs, so expect it to come at North Shore with a vengeful fire.
