Softball Recap: Make It 30 in a Row for Tri-Village

It's playoff time, and Tri-Village had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Garaway Pirates 6-0 on Sunday. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 contests by six runs or more this season.

Not much got past Elizabeth Poling, who gave up just three hits to keep Garaway off the board. Poling has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Emma Greer was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Tai Mize was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

The win keeps Tri-Village at an undefeated 30-0. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average this season. As for Garaway, they moved to 11-8 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Tri-Village nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
