Basketball Recap: Trenton Skates Past Dixie County with Ease

There's no place like home for Trenton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Dixie County Bears 67-22. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 31 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trenton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zander Grant, who posted 16 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Grant is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Mason VunCannon was another key player, going 5 for 8 on his way to 14 points.

Trenton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Trenton moved to 13-10 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Dixie County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Bell the next time they take the court. Trenton will head out to face Bell at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Dixie County will head out to face them on Monday.
