Lemon Bay won the last time they faced DeSoto County and things went their way on Tuesday too. Lemon Bay was the clear victor by a 14-4 margin over DeSoto County. The Manta Rays might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by seven runs or more this season.

Lemon Bay got a massive performance out of Cassidy Silvia, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most hits Silvia has posted since back in April of 2024. Kylie Jones was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Lemon Bay always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as DeSoto County only posted an OBP of .375.

The victory made it two in a row for Lemon Bay and bumps their season record up to 4-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for DeSoto County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lemon Bay will take on North Port at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for DeSoto County, they will face off against Booker at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. DeSoto County will need to watch out since Booker has now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
