Softball Recap: Maine East Comes Up Short

Maine East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They came up short against the Vernon Hills Cougars, falling 12-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-0 back in April.

Maine East's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Vernon Hills, their win bumped their record up to 9-19.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maine East will face off against Northtown on Monday. As for Vernon Hills, they will be playing at home against Niles West at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
