Show Low has gone a perfect 8-0 against Chinle recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Show Low Cougars challenge Chinle Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. Show Low is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.6 runs per game this season.

Show Low will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Winslow, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Show Low walked away with a 7-3 victory over Winslow on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Addisyn Clark made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two doubles.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aspyn Clark, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Gracie Umphress, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Chinle's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost 13-1 to Holbrook. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Chinle's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Show Low, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Show Low took their victory against Chinle when the teams last played back in March of 2022 by a conclusive 18-8. Will Show Low repeat their success, or does Chinle have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
