Baseball Recap: Eagle Has No Trouble Against Pusch Ridge Christian Academy

After only two runs in their last match, Eagle made sure to put some runs up on the board against Pusch Ridge Christian Academy on Thursday. The Eagle Mustangs were the clear victor by a 12-0 margin over the Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions. Considering the Mustangs have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Eagle saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dallin Snooks, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was Snooks' first of the season. Kristian Fusco was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Eagle always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pusch Ridge Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .263.

Eagle is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Coming up, Eagle will be playing in front of their home fans against Ridgevue at 6:30 p.m. on March 28th. The match will give Eagle their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Thatcher at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy has given up an average of 6.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
