Basketball Recap: Hannah Johnson and Aubrey Doerty Secure Win for Kalama

Kalama won the last time they faced Elma and things went their way on Saturday too. The Kalama Chinooks came out on top against the Elma Eagles by a score of 56-43.

Kalama was led to victory by Aubrey Doerty and Hannah Johnson. Doerty dropped a double-double on 25 points and 15 rebounds, while Johnson dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Doerty has scored at least a third of Kalama's points. Rylie Bromley was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Kalama's record is now 3-4. As for Elma, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Kalama has already played their next game, a 63-13 win against Fort Vancouver on the 6th. As for Elma, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-47 victory against Tenino on the 7th.
