Volleyball Recap: St. Patrick Takes a Loss

St. Patrick and Evanston squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but St. Patrick had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wildkits by a score of 2-1. The Shamrocks have struggled against the Wildkits recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, St. Patrick sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-13, 23-25, 25-19.

Charlie Hall paced St. Patrick's offense, picking up seven kills. Hall got some help from Eric Resendez and his 11 assists.

St. Patrick's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Evanston, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-18 record this season.

St. Patrick does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Evanston, they will host Niles North at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
