Basketball Recap: Detroit Lakes Takes a Loss

Detroit Lakes lost against Alexandria back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Detroit Lakes Lakers took a blow against the Alexandria Cardinals, falling 115-52. The Lakers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 69-22.

Chase Thompson was his usual excellent self, en route to 50 points for Alexandria. The contest was Thompson's tenth in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Gavin Roderick, who to rack up 22 points.

Detroit Lakes has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. The win (which was Alexandria's 18th in a row) raised their record to 22-3.

Coming up, Detroit Lakes will head out on the road to take on Brainerd at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Alexandria, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cardinals take on the Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
