Volleyball Game Preview: Arroyo Grande Eagles vs. San Luis Obispo Tigers

The Arroyo Grande Eagles will square off against the San Luis Obispo Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Arroyo Grande is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Santa Ynez just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 3-0.

Arroyo Grande took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21, 25-23.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for San Luis Obispo, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Templeton on Tuesday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

San Luis Obispo was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17, 25-20.

Arroyo Grande's loss dropped their record down to 23-16. As for San Luis Obispo, their victory bumped their record up to 23-8.
