It's playoff time, and Lemon Bay had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Gibbs Gladiators on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Manta Rays as they're now sitting on three straight.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lemon Bay took every set by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-11, 25-6.

Lemon Bay's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Natalie Googins, who had seven aces and one assist. Googins is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Lemon Bay was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Gibbs saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jade Carter had 31 digs.

Lemon Bay's record now sits at 18-9. As for Gibbs, with the defeat, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 6-10.

As of now, neither Lemon Bay nor the Gladiators have any future games scheduled.
