Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Gate City's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Ridgeview.
The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-14, 25-21.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Georgia Griffis, who had four digs and a kill. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Rhoton, who had six digs and two aces.
