Basketball Recap: Andrews Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dumas, Andrews was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They skirted past the Odessa Bronchos 55-52. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted since February 9th.

Andrews has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Odessa, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Andrews will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Midland at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Odessa and Plainview will round out the year against one another at at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
