Summertown entered their tilt with Battle Creek on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Grizzlies.

Keegan McCafferty spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ryder Blackwood was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Cason Blackwood was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Summertown's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Battle Creek, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-12 record.

Summertown will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Grizzlies: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
