Softball Recap: Montebello Comes Up Short

Montebello came into this matchup off a tough 17-run loss last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Bell Gardens Lancers by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Oilers have suffered since February 27th.

This is the second loss in a row for Montebello and nudges their season record down to 3-11. As for Bell Gardens, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montebello will square off against Mark Keppel at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bell Gardens, they will be playing at home against San Gabriel at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lancers are facing the Matadors at the right time seeing as the Matadors are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
