Monticello hadn't done well against Beacon recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Panthers came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Monticello's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Beacon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Monticello will square off against SS Seward at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Beacon, they will challenge Our Lady of Lourdes at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
