Volleyball Recap: St. Mary's-Colgan Takes a Loss

St. Mary's-Colgan extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping them down to 13-14. They came up short against the Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles, falling 3-0. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Sarah Schibi paced St. Mary's-Colgan's offense, picking up eight kills. Schibi got some help from Addi Dewey and her 14 assists.

As for Maranatha Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-4 record this season. They not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 30th (when they won 3-0).

Macy Karlin had an outrageously good game as she had 14 digs and five aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last nine matches.

St. Mary's-Colgan has already played their next matchup (against Columbus), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, they will welcome Heritage Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
